3-4.7 Install the coil spring assembly between
the spring clamp bracket and the rear spring
anchor plates. Secure with 1-8 x 8-1/2 hex
head cap screws and hex lock nuts.

3-5 WING SUPPORT INSTALLATION

3-5.1 Install the wing support assemblies in
the locations shown on the Shank Place-
ment Figures 2-1 - 2-5. Use u-bolts and lock
nuts supplied.

3-6 HITCH INSTALLATION

WARNING

THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES.
IMPORTANT
SEE FIGURE 3-6 FOR PARTS NAMES.
WARNING
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LIFT THE HITCH
MANUALLY. USE A HOIST OR A FORK
LIFT TO MOVE THE HITCH INTO POSI-
TION.
3-6.1 Install the hitch assembly to the frame
using hitch pins and 3/8 x 3 cotter pins sup-
plied with hitch assembly.
IMPORTANT
DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN BOLTS AS THE
SPRINGS MUST BE FREE TO PIVOT.
3-4.8 Tighten 3/4-10 x 4 hex head cap screws
in spring anchor plates to correct torque.
3-4.9 Adjustment holes are provided at the
top of the spring clamp bracket to compen-
sate for varying ground conditions.
3-6.2 Attach leveling linkage assembly to
frame assembly using 1-1/4-7 x 8 hex head
cap screw, leveling linkage bushing, flat
washer, and hex lock nut.
3-6.3 Install the hitch radius rod assembly to
the hitch assembly with hinge pin and 1/4 x
2-1/2 cotter pin and top end of the leveling
linkage assembly with 1-1/2 pivot pin, 3/8-16
x 4 hex head cap screw, and hex lock nut.
3-6.4 Install leveling rod weldment to lower
hole of leveling linkage assembly with 1-1/2
pivot pin, 3/8-16 x 4 hex head cap screw,
and hex lock nut.
3-6.5 Install the jack pivot bracket on the hitch
assembly with detent pin with chain. Install
jack to jack pivot bracket with 5/8-11 x 1-1/2
hex head cap screws and hex lock nuts.
3-6.6 Attach hose bracket to hitch assembly
with 1/2-13 x 6-1/2 hex head cap screw and
hex lock nut. Install hose clamp plates to
hose bracket with 3/8-16 x 1-3/4 round head
square neck screws and 3/8-16 hex lock
nuts. Connect harness stor-away to hose
bracket with 1/4-20 x 3/4 hex head cap
screw and 1/4-20 hex lock nut.
