6. Press the Set key to complete the trace.
To measure Area or Circumference with a Spline:
1. Invoke the measure function on a B-mode image.
2. If Area or Circumference is not the default measurement, select Circ/Area from the touch
screen.
If Spline is not the default tool, press Tool Options to switch to Spline. Spline can be
created by placing several calipers.
3. Move the caliper to the desired location and press the Set key to place the first point.
4. Repeat step 3 to place other points. A spline will be created after three points are placed.
At most 16 points can be placed to create a spline.
5. If a point is not placed satisfactorily, press Undo button to remove it and its spline
segment. Each press of Undo button removes one point.
6. Double press the Set key to complete the spline.
Angle: The Angle measurement is always done with an angle tool.
To measure Angle:
1. Invoke the measure function on a B-mode image.
2. If Angle is not the default measurement, select Angle from the touchscreen.
3. Move the caliper to the vertex of the angle you are measuring.
4. Press the Set key to place that point and create a new caliper. Move that to one end of the
angle.
5. Press the Set key to place that end and create a new caliper. Move that to the other end of
the angle. Presses of the Switch key toggle between controlling each of the three points
that make up the angle. Pressing the Set key completes the angle and allows you to begin
another measurement.
Volume: Volume can be measured with 3 Distance.
To measure Volume with 3 Distance:
1. Invoke the measure function on a B-mode image.
2. If Volume is not the default measurement, select Volume from the touch screen. Move the
caliper to the desired location.
3. Press the Set key to place that caliper and add the second half of the first caliper pair.
4. Presses of the Switch key toggle which side of the caliper can be moved. Pressing the Set
key completes the first caliper pair and creates the second caliper pair.
5. Repeat step 3~5 to complete the second caliper pair and create the third caliper pair.
6. Repeat step 3~5 to complete the third caliper pair and allow you to begin another
measurement.
Stenosis: Stenosis can be measured with Caliper Pairs, Ellipses, Traces or Spline
To measure Stenosis with Caliper Pairs:
1. Invoke the Measure Function on a B-mode image.
2. If Stenosis is not the default measurement, select Stenosis from the touchscreen.
