9.11 LOSS OF FIELD UNIT (40) MIWII1000
9.11.1

TEST OF UNITS 40 CIRCLE 1 AND 40 CIRCLE 2

On the center of the characteristic, over the Y axis:
Apply:VI = 80V @ 0º
Ia = 8A @ 90º (forwarded to VI)
Check that the unit operates in 0.5 seconds
On a point close to the characteristic limit, over the Y axis:
Apply:VI = 80V @ 0º
Ia = 4.7A @ 90º (forwarded to VI)
Check that the unit operates in 0.5 seconds
On a point outside the 40-1 characteristic limit, inside the 40-2 characteristic:
Apply:VI = 80V @ 0º
Ia = 4.2A @ 90º (forwarded to VI)
Check that the unit operates in 1 second
On a point close to the 40-2 characteristic limit:
Apply:VI = 80V @ 0º
Ia = 2A @ 90º (forwarded to VI)
Check that the unit operates in 1 second
On a point outside the 40-2 characteristic:
Apply:VI = 80V @ 0º
Ia = 1.7A @ 90º (forwarded to VI)
Check that the unit does not operate.
9.11.2

TEST OF THE VOLTAGE BLOCK

Apply:VI = 40V @ 0º
Ia = 5A @ 90º (forwarded to VI)
Although the impedance is 40/5 = 8 Ohm, clearly situated inside the 40-1 characteristic, the unit must block its operation, as
40V is lower than 44V, which corresponds to the supervision level.
