1. Nominal conditions are defined as:
Tested with administration set model: PCA00001;
Needle: 18 gauge x 40 mm;
Solution Type: De-ionized & Degassed Water;
Temperature: 23 ºC ± 2 ºC
Fluid Head Height: +254 ± 25 mm;
Back Pressure: 0 ± 10 mmHg.
2. The system accuracy will change by the following
percentages:
Flow Rate: ±7% at flow rates higher than 500 ml/hr
Temperature: nominally -1.0 (±1.5)% at 18 ºC and
nominally +4.0 (±1.5)% at 45 ºC
Fluid Head Height: nominally +1.0 (±1.5)% at +300 mm
and -5.0 (±1.5)% at -300 mm
Duration: nominally -1.0 (±2.0) % over 24 hours of
continuous use
Back Pressure: nominally -1.0 (±1.5)% at +13.33 kPa and
+2.0 (±1.5)% at -13.33 kPa
3. At low flow rates of 0.1 – 1 ml/hr this accuracy may not be
achieved for short periods. During the total infusion time, the
accuracy stabilizes.
4. Accuracy calculated with 90% probability at a 90%
confidence level
