Lifting
chains
adjustment
The lifting chains must be tensioned so that the mast
sections are slightly offset towards the top as
indicated below :
Tension verification :
1- Inspect the lifting chains for cleanliness.
2- Adjust the tension of all chains until the mast
sections reach the position indicated on the
drawing above by tightening or loosening the
chain equalizer nuts. During this operation, the
chains must be tensioned, the platform and
shelf empty (refer to § 6.3.5, fig. 6.4).
NOTE
Both lifting chains of each assembly have an
identical tension because of the equalizer.
NOTE
Back up cables located on the side of the
mast prevent the chains from slacking.

4.3 Tension adjustment of the shelf

The shelf elevation movement is interrupted
by the shelf sensor (refer to § 4.12)
ç Fully lower the shelf.
ç Remove the protection cover for the shelf
elevation system.
ç Inspect the condition and cleanliness of the
shelf lifting and back up cables.
ç Adjust the tension of the shelf lifting cables
until the lower part of the shelf does not
touch the power unit for the shelf elevation
(leave a 5 mm gap). Adjust by tightening
or loosening the cables adjustement nuts.
ç Adjust the back up cable (with its adjustment
nut) until it gets reasonably tensioned (no
slack).
ç Install the cover and raise / lower the shelf
several times to ensure the assembly works
correctly.
