REMOVAL - INSTALLATION PROCEDURES

6.3 Telescopic mast

6.3.1 Mast cylinder removal

The mast assembly must be removed from the chassis
(see§ 6.2.) before the mast cylinder can be removed.
1- Position the mast assembly horizontally as
represented below.
2- Remove the screws and washers securing the
cylinder brackets to the mast (see fig. 6.2).
3- To facilitate cylinder removal, loosen the screws
securing the cylinder to its brackets.
4- Remove the cylinder and cylinder brackets.

CAUTION
Two persons are recommended to handle the
cylinder.

6.3.2 Mast cylinder installation

1- Ensure the cylinder support plate is installed
on the cylinder as indicated on fig. 6.2.
2- Position the assembly cylinder / brackets on
the mast.
3- Turn the cylinder barrel to position the cylinder
bleeding screw opposite the hole on mast
section n°2 (see fig. 4.5, § 4.8).
4- Secure the cylinder brackets on mast section
n°1 with screws and washers.
5- Ensure the screws securing the cylinder to the
brackets are tight.

6.3.3 Slide blocks removal

The slide blocks are fitted to the mast sections and
slide on the inside wall of the adjacent mast section.
NOTE
It is recommended to replace all the slide
blocks at the same time.
The slide blocks fitted on both sides of a mast
section are secured by nuts turning
automatically to their lock / unlock position
when screwing / unscrewing.
When removing one of these slide blocks,
loosen the bolts without removing them fully.
