4.10 Steering sensors setting

The steering sensors are factory preset and locked in
such a way that the steering wheels can be steered
at ± 90° max.
However the steering sensors may become
maladjusted which, when the steering wheels are fully
steered, results in :
- either an inner steering radius too important
when it should be nil.
- or a characteristic noise of the steering cylinder
when the steering control is kept depressed.
4.10.1 Setting of the sensor located
above the right hand side wheel
1- Position the control panel selector on "platform
control panel".
2- Fully steer the steering wheels to the left.
3- Loosen both sensor attachment screws on the
right sensor to be able to move it as indicated
in the drawing below.
4- Move the sensor until the angle a equals 0 (see
drawing below) when the wheels are steered
to the left.
5- Tighten the sensor on the chassis.
6- Straighten the wheels and fully steer to the left
to check the angle a = 0 and the steering
cylinder is not noisy when fully extended.
