REMOVAL - INSTALLATION PROCEDURES

6.2 Mast on chassis

DANGER
The platform must be fully lowered before
removing the mast assembly from the
chassis.
1- Fully lower the mast and the shelf, depress
the emergency stops on the control panels and
disconnect the battery quick release plug.
2- Remove both front covers.
3- Strap the mast assembly using the lifting ring
and support it with a forklift truck or an overhead
crane without lifting it.
4- Disconnect both cables located at the bottom
of the emergency control box by unscrewing
both 18 pin connectors as indicated below.

CAUTION
Ensure these connectors are marked before
disconnecting them to be able to reconnect
them correctly
5- Disconnect both connectors for the flashing
lights located on each side of the first mast
section.

TOUCAN Duo
6- Remove the 5 cable clamps (keeping the cables
disconnected at step 4 fixed to the mast
section n°1) so the cables do no longer contact
the mast.
7- Disconnect the coil (and its connector) from
the breakdown solenoid valve (see § 6.5.4.,
fig.6.9) located on the mast cylinder manifold.
8- Disconnect the hydraulic hose from the mast
cylinder.
9- Remove the breakdown solenoid cartridge (see
§ 6.5.4., fig. 6.9).
NOTE
Cap the hose and the cylinder port to prevent
any pollution.
10- Tension the strap ensuring the machine stays
with its 4 wheels firmly on the ground.
11- Remove both bolts and nuts securing the struts
to the chassis.
12- Remove the 4 screws and washers securing
the mast assembly to the chassis and release
the assembly using an appropriate lifting
equipment (see fig 6.1.)

DANGER
When the mast assembly is released from the
chassis, it will tilt until it reaches its balance
as represented on fig. 6.1.

CAUTION
During the release of the mast assembly,
ensure the card box (located under the
platform on the last mast section) does not
hit the chassis of the machine.
