4.9 Mast cylinder bleeding

1- Raise the mast until the access hole to the bleeding screw (located at approximately 230 mm from the top
of the 2nd mast section) gets to approx. 200 mm above the first mast section.
2- Slide the tooling (ref. : 990010) onto the bleeding device and lock it to prevent it from turning.
If you do not have any tooling, a hose (inner Ø 10 mm - length 90 mm) can be used.
3- Slide an Allen key (size 3) inside the tool.
4- Loosen the bleeding screw by half a turn max.
ç This device enables you to collect the oil escaping from the bleeding screw without any spillage
on the machine or on the ground.
During the bleeding process, the mast may come down. Ensure there are no obstacles under the
platform.
5- If during the bleeding process the mast comes down too much (the access hole to the bleeding screw gets
too near from the first mast section), raise the platform as indicated in 1 and resume the bleeding process
at step 4.
6- The bleeding process is complete once the platform is immobile with the bleeding screw loose. Tighten
the bleeding screw (torque value: 5.5 N.m).
7- Clean all parts with a solvent and dry with compressed air.
