Connecting power

Before connecting power, make sure that the outputs are wired properly to avoid short circuits.
IMPORTANT: When you're using different power supplies to power the DiGidot C4 and the LEDs, it is of
utmost importance to equalize the ground potentials.
Always connect grounds (DC-) of DiGidot C4 controller and every power supply, connected to every
product that is controlled by a single DiGidot C4 controller to each other.
If the grounds are not connected, this will cause malfunctioning.
Power supply
Only use a stabilized SELV rated power supply or any USB charging port that provides 5 Watts at
5Vdc to power the DiGidot C4. Note that electronic switched power supplies usually have high inrush
currents, please make sure to check all specifications carefully and design your infrastructure
accordingly.
We recommend following power supply models to power the DiGidot C4:
Mean Well APV-8-5 | Constant Voltage AC-DC, Input 90-264Vac, Output 8 Watt, 1,4A, 5Vdc
Mean Well APV-8-12 | Constant Voltage AC-DC, Input 90-264Vac, Output 8 Watt, 0,67A,
12Vdc
Mean Well APV-8-24 |Constant Voltage AC-DC, Input 90-264Vac, Output 8 Watt, 0,34A,
24Vdc
When connecting multiple DiGidot C4 controllers with or without PxLNet Transmitters we
recommend to connect max. 5 controllers, due to inrush currents to following preferred power
supplies:
Mean Well APV-35-5 | Constant Voltage AC-DC, Input 90-264Vac | Output 35 Watt, 5A, 5Vdc
Mean Well LPV-60-12 | Constant Voltage AC-DC, Input 90-264Vac | Output 60 Watt, 5A,
12Vdc
Mean Well LPV-100-5 | Constant Voltage AC-DC, Input 90-264Vac | Output 100 Watt, 12A,
5Vdc
Mean Well LPV-100-12 | Constant Voltage AC-DC, Input 90-264Vac | Output 100 Watt, 8,5A,
12Vdc
Mean Well ELG-150-24 | Constant Voltage AC-DC, Input 100-305Vac | Output 150 Watt, 8,5A,
24Vdc
Mean Well ELG-240-24 | Constant Voltage AC-DC, Input 100-305Vac | Output 240 Watt, 10A,
24Vdc
