Inserting and Dropping the Data
Communications Channel
The Data Communications Channel (DCC) of the regenerator and multiplexer
section overhead can be verified by protocol testing. The Insert and Drop capability
provides access to the DCC via the RS-449 connector on the front panel of the
Multirate Analyser module.
DCC INSERT is available on the
SDH, then use the right cursor key to access DCC INSERT selection.
DCC DROP is available on the
SDH, then use the right cursor key to access DCC DROP selection.
1 Connect the Protocol Analyzer to the DCC port on the Multirate Analyzer
module.
2 Choose the required DCC.
