Receiving a Call

When a call comes in, the connection process with differs
depending on the setting of the answer mode.
Auto answer mode
The system automatically receives the call and starts the
meeting. However, even if you are not ready to start the
meeting, the local picture will be displayed on the remote
party's monitor screen.
Manual answer mode
Incoming calls are not automatically connected. You must
manually connect the call.
You can start the meeting whenever you are ready.
Notes
• Whichever mode you choose, the Compact Processor must be
turned on, or be in standby/sleep mode to receive a call.
• Make sure that the TV monitor is on standby.

Setting the Answer Mode

Press the MENU button on the Remote Commander.
The Menu (System Configuration Index 1/3) menu appears
on the monitor screen.

Select SYSTEM SETUP with the joy stick, then press it.
The System Setup (System Configuration Index 2/3) menu
appears on the monitor screen.

Select COMMUNICATION SETUP with the joy stick,
then press it.
The Communication Setup menu appears on the monitor
screen.

Select ANSWER MODE with the joy stick, then press it.
The ANSWER MODE items appear.

When selecting the auto answer mode, select AUTO with
the joy stick, then press it.
When selecting the manual answer mode, select
MANUAL with the joy stick, then press it.

Press the EXEC button on the Remote Commander.
The answer mode setting is completed.

Press the CANCEL button on the Remote Commander
repeatedly.
The menu disappears from the monitor screen.

Answering Calls in Auto Answer Mode

The system automatically receives a call when it is on standby
or in sleep mode.
When a call comes in, the Compact Processor starts ringing,
and the indication "Incoming Call" appears on the monitor
screen.
Once the connection has been made, the remote party appears
on the local monitor screen, and the local party appears on the
remote screen. You are now ready to hold your meeting.
The indication "MEETING STARTS!" appears on the monitor
screen.
