Panel Setup

The following column headings are available for touchpanels with EMS:

Room Agent Column Headings with EMS
Status — Use this check box to select individual panels for configuration.
IP Address — This cell contains the IP address of the touchlink panel.
Hostname — The host name is a fully qualified domain name that uniquely identifies
the computer. It is required for the computer to communicate with other devices on the
network.
Room Name — Enter the name that is displayed on the touchpanel.
Space Name — This must be the same as the space listed in the EMS server. The
exact space name can be found using the EMS Desktop Client.
NOTE: The list of rooms must be created by the EMS administrator prior to
appearing in the EMS Desktop Client. If there are any issues getting a Room
Name, please contact your EMS administrator.
To find the correct Space Name:
1. Open the EMS Desktop Client.
2. Select Configuration.
3. Select Facilities.
4. Click Rooms.
5. In the Rooms popup, enter filter options (for example the building name) to shorten
the list of room names.
The correct Space Name appears in the Room Name column (see figure 51,

• Enter this name in the Space Name field of the Panel Configuration tab.
• The name is case sensitive.
