REASSEMBLY (cont.)
Breather Hose Function Test
1. Test the hose by attempting to blow air through it
in both directions. air should flow only in the
direction shown (out of the crankcase).

Install the breather housing/plug into the hose.
2. Slide the breather hose assembly, from the inside
out, into the rocker arm cover until the breather
hose seats into the cover.

Remove the spark arrester screw and cover.
2. Push the spark arrester screen out of the cover.
3.
Inspect the spark arrester screen.
If the screen is clean, reinstall the screen,
cover and screw. If the screen is plugged,
clean or replace.
