REMOVE MAJOR COMPONENTS
(cont.)
2 Remove the muffler and muffler gasket. Discard
the old gasket.
NOTE: The muffler baffle cannot be removed at this
time.
NOTE: Do not scrape the gasket surfaces with metal
scrapers. Always use wood or plastic scrapers.
Remove Clutch
1. Remove the three (3) screws securing the clutch
housing/drum assembly to the fan housing. Re-
move the clutch housing/drum assembly
For units that take attachments, remove the spring.
2. Remove the isolator, which is located between the
clutch cover and the starter module
assembly.
