CARBURETORS
13.Check:
• fuel hoses
Cracks/dam age/w ear → Replace.
Obstruction → Clean.
Blow out the hoses w ith com pressed
air.

ASSEM BLING THE CARBURETORS
The follow ing procedure applies to all of
the carburetors.
CAUTION:
ACHTUNG:
• Before assembling the carburetors,
w ash all of the parts in a petroleum-
based solvent.
• Alw ays use a new gasket.
1. Install:
• pilot screw kit 1
Pilot screw setting
2-1/ 2 turns out
2. Install:
• piston valve 1
• jet needle
• jet needle holder
• piston valve spring
• vacuum cham ber cover
NOTE:
• Install the end of the piston valve
spring onto the spring guide on the
vacuum cham ber cover.
• Align the tab a on the piston valve
diaphragm w ith the recess b in the
carburetor body.
