REM OVING THE OIL PAN
1. Rem ove:
• oil level sw itch 1
• oil pan 2
• oil pan gasket
• dow el pins
NOTE:
Loosen each bolt 1/4 of a turn at a tim e,
in stages and in a crisscross pattern.
After all of the bolts are fully loosened,
rem ove them .

CHECKING THE OIL PUM P
1. Check:
• oil/w ater pum p assem bly driven
sprocket 1
• oil pum p housing 2
Cracks/dam age/w ear → Replace the
defective part(-s).
2. M easure:
• inner-rotor-to-outer-rotor-tip clear-
ance a
• outer-rotor-to-oil-pum p-housing clear-
ance b
Out of specification → Replace the oil
pum p.

0.09 ~ 0.15 mm
Outer-rotor-to-oil-pump-hous-
ing clearance
