REAR WHEEL, BRAKE DISC, AND REAR WHEEL
SPROCKET

REM OVING THE REAR WHEEL
1. Stand the m otorcycle on a level surface.
WARNING
WARNING
Securely support the motorcycle so that
there is no danger of it falling over.
NOTE:
Place the m otorcycle on a suitable stand
so that the rear w heel is elevated.
2. Rem ove:
• brake caliper
NOTE:
Do not depress the brake pedal w hen
rem oving the brake caliper.
3. Rem ove:
• w heel axle nut
• w asher
• w heel axle
• adjusting blocks
• rear w heel
NOTE:
Push
the rear
rem ove the drive chain from the rear
w heel sprocket.

CHECKING THE REAR WHEEL

1. Check:
• w heel axle
• rear w heel
• w heel bearings
• oil seals
• brake disc
Refer to " FRONT WHEEL" .
2. Check:
• tire
• rear w heel
Dam age/w ear → Replace.
Refer to " CHECKING THE TIRES" and
" CHECKING THE WHEELS" in chapter 3.
