DISASSEM BLING THE WATER PUM P
1. Rem ove:
• w ater pum p seal 1
NOTE:
Tap out the w ater pum p seal from the
inside of the w ater pum p housing.
2 Water pum p housing
2. Rem ove:
• oil seal 1
• bearing 2
NOTE:
Tap out the bearing and oil seal from the
outside of the w ater pum p housing.
3 Water pum p housing
3. Rem ove:
• rubber dam per holder 1
• rubber dam per 2
(from the im peller, w ith a thin, flat-
head screw driver)
NOTE:
Do not scratch the im peller shaft.

CHECKING THE WATER PUM P
1. Check:
• w ater pum p housing cover 1
• w ater pum p housing 2
• im peller 3
• rubber dam per 4
• rubber dam per holder 5
Cracks/dam age/w ear → Replace.
2. Check:
• w ater pum p seal
• oil seal
• w ater pum p inlet pipe
Cracks/dam age/w ear → Replace.
• bearing
Rough m ovem ent → Replace.
