5.Fuel pum p relay
• Disconnect the relay unit from the cou-
pler.
• Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1) and
battery (12 V) to the relay unit term inals
as show n.
Battery positive terminal → red/ black 1
Battery negative terminal → blue/ red 2
Tester positive probe → red/ black 1
Tester negative probe → blue/ black 3
• Does the fuel pum p relay have continu-
ity betw een red/black and blue/black?
YES

6.Fuel pum p resistance
• Disconnect the fuel pum p coupler from
the w ire harness.
• Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1) to the
fuel pum p coupler (fuel pum p side) as
show n.
Tester positive probe → black/ blue 1
Tester negative probe → black 2
NO
Replace the relay
unit.
FUEL PUM P SYSTEM
• M easure the fuel pum p resistance.
Fuel pump resistance
4 ~ 30 Ω at 20 ˚C
• Is the fuel pum p OK?

7.Wiring
• Check the entire fuel pum p system 's w ir-
ing.
Refer to " CIRCUIT DIAGRAM " .
• Is the fuel pum p system 's w iring prop-
erly connected and w ithout defects?
Replace the ignitor
unit.
