: Position the piston rings so that
the radii at the ring gaps meet at
the fixing pins (arrows) in the
piston groove.
: Check the correct installed
position of the piston rings again
(arrows).
– Install the piston, b 7.6.2

Removal

– Drain the fuel tank.
Note:
Fuels must be disposed off as
specified by regulations.
– Expose cylinder, b 7.5
– Remove ignition module if
necessary, b 8.1.1
– Remove the flywheel, b 8.5
– Remove the starter cup, b 5.4
– Remove the clutch, b 6
– Remove the cylinder and piston,
b 7.6
: Remove the screws from the
recesses (arrows) in the two
halves of the crankcase.

: Remove the caps (1) from the
rubber buffers.
– Replace the rubber buffers,
b 10.2
: Unscrew the rubber buffers
(arrows).
: Pull the hose (1) off to the back.
: Disconnect the impulse hose (1)
from the fan-side half of the

crankcase.

– Adjust the spindle (1) of the
assembly tool 5910 893 2102
(left-hand thread) so that it can be
centred over the crankshaft stub.
