Adding Device DTM

Performing a HART Scan
1. In the project view, right-click on the entry of the communication DTM.
2. Choose Connect.
3. Choose Additional functions > Scan list.
4. If the scan does not begin automatically, click Refresh.
The detected field devices are displayed in the Scan list window.

Parameter window of HART communication DTM
Description
Set this parameter to HART modem.
Set this parameter to the COM port your HART modem is
connected to.
Set this parameter to Secondary master.
Number of preambles for HART communication.
The number of retries for HART communication in case of an
error.
Here the address range is set, in which the HART
Communication DTM is to search for HART devices
connected to the HART modem.
Set this parameter to Start address = 14, End address = 15.
15 is the default value of the adapter.
Activate this check box.
