Adding Device DTM

Performing a HART scan
In the Communications DTM, the function Additional functions > Scan list can be used
to scan the connected HART devices.
1. In the project view, right-click on the entry of the communication DTM you have added in
the previous step.
2. Choose Connect.
3. Choose Additional functions > Scan list.
4. If the scan does not begin on its own, click on the Refresh button.
The scan begins (Start address and End address as specified is the previous section).
All detected field devices are displayes in the Scan list window.

Set this parameter to HART modem.
Set this parameter to the COM port your HART modem is
connected to ().
Set this parameter to Secondary master.
Number of preambles for HART communication.
The number of retries for HART communication in case of
an error.
Here the address range is set, in which the HART
Communication DTM is to search for HART devices
connected to the HART modem.
Set this parameter to Start address = 14, End
address = 15.
15 is the default value of the adapter.
Activate this check box.
