monitor the quality of air entering the protected area.
The air quality measurement allows the VIEW
system to compensate for vehicle fumes, fog, or other
particles brought into the protected area through the
ventilation system. Poor air quality will lower the
sensitivity of all FSL-751 detectors on the SLC. The
detector sensitivity, however, remains within approved
limits (always less than 1% obscuration per foot).
