Cleaning the Machine

Cleaning the Machine on a Daily Basis

As part of daily cleaning, wipe away any buildup of ink or grime that has adhered to the machine. In particular, the
flat table is likely to have a buildup of grime. Clean by wiping with a cloth moistened by neutral detergent diluted
with water then wrung dry.
Never use a solvent such as gasoline, alcohol, or thinner to perform cleaning.
WARNING
Doing so may cause fire.
IMPORTANT
• This machine is a precision device and is sensitive to dust and dirt. Perform cleaning on a daily basis.
• Never attempt to oil or lubricate the machine.
• Before performing this operation, remove any objects to be printed on.
• To prevent the print heads from drying out, try to finish this procedure in 10 minutes or less. A warning beep sounds after 10 mi-
nutes.
• If the warning beep is heard, stop work, close all the covers, and then press [ENTER] to end the manual cleaning mode. After that,
restart from the beginning.
Procedure
1.
Remove the object to be printed on.
2.
Move the print-head carriage.

Press [MENU].

Press [▼] to display the screen shown below.

Press [▶] once, and then press [▼] several times to display the screen shown below.

Press [MENU].
After "NOW PROCESSING.." is displayed and the print heads move, the screen shown below appears.
OPEN FRONT

Refresh the heads if the following message is displayed.
DO HEAD REFRESH

Open the front cover.
The screen shown below appears.
FINISHED?
IMPORTANT
Do not press the [ENTER] key at this stage. Press the [ENTER] after cleaning is complete. If you press the [ENTER] key at
this stage, wait for the screen to change as shown in the following figure, and then press the [ENTER] key again.

Touch the location shown in the figure (the area below the ink cartridge slots) to discharge any static electrici-
ty.
