Recording from the other VCR or
TV
When you have finished recording a
tape
x
Press x on both your (recording) VCR and the
other (playback) VCR.
Using the Remote Commander
In step 3, press z REC and MARK
z
X
simultaneously, then immediately press X. And
X
in step 5, press X at the point where you want to
start recording from.
Note
If the connected equipment has a different kind
of i.LINK system, it is not compatible with your
VCR.
You can connect one VCR only using the i.LINK
cable (DV connecting cable).
See page 197 for more information about i.LINK.
During digital editing
The color of the display may be uneven.
However, this does not affect the dubbed picture.
If you record a playback pause picture with
the DV jack
The recorded picture becomes rough, and when
you play back the picture using your VCR, the
picture may jitter.
Before recording
Make sure that the DV IN indicator appears on
the screen by pressing the DISPLAY button. The
DV IN indicator may appear on both equipment.
Note on the Remote Commander
Your VCR works in the commander code VTR 2.
Commander codes 1, 2 and 3 are used to
distinguish your VCR from other Sony VCRs to
avoid remote control misoperation. If you use
another Sony VCR in the commander code VTR
2, we recommend changing the commander
mode or covering the sensor of the VCR with
black paper.
