Preventing accidental
erasure
– Image protection
To prevent accidental erasure of important
images, you can protect selected images.

Before operation

Insert a "Memory Stick" into your VCR.
(1) Set the POWER switch to ON.
(2) Play back the image you want to protect.
(3) Press MENU, then select and decide upon
PROTECT in
dial (p. 110).
(4) Select and decide upon ON with the SEL/
PUSH EXEC dial.
(5) Press MENU to make the menu display
disappear. The "-" mark is displayed
beside the data file name of the selected
image.
To cancel image protection
Select and decide upon OFF with the SEL/PUSH
EXEC dial in step 4.
Note
Formatting erases all information on the
"Memory Stick," including the protected image
data. Check the contents of the "Memory Stick"
before formatting.
If the write-protect tab on the "Memory Stick"
is set to LOCK
You cannot carry out image protection.
