Parameters

Description
Use the shutdown command to disable the RPR logical/physical interface.
Use the undo shutdown command to enable the RPR logical/physical interface.
Caution:
On a ring network, with the shutdown command executed on the RPR logical interface
of a station, the traffic of the ring network is forwarded by the station instead of entering
the logical interface.
After you disable an RPR physical port using the shutdown command, the
corresponding laser is turned off, and the ring network enables the corresponding
protection.
