2. Press Set Network. These three network addresses
appear:
IP Address:198.000.000.001
NM Address:255.255.000.000
GW Address:198.000.000.001
These are the factory default addresses; they must be
changed for your network.
3. Look for the cursor beneath the first digit of the IP address.
The cursor does not blink. To update the IP address:
Press Increment to increase the value, one digit at a time.
Press Next Digit to move the cursor one place to the right.
Press Last Digit to move the cursor one place to the left.
4. Use the three functions above to set your IP address.
5. After setting the final digit of the IP address, move the
cursor one more place to the right. The cursor moves to
the NM (or Netmask) address. Follow the same steps for
all addresses.
6. When you have finished setting addresses, press Done.
The panel displays Change IP, Netmask, Gateway?
7. Press Yes. The panel then displays Resetting Network
and after a moment returns to Idle or starts warming up.
8. If you have not done so already, plug in the network patch
cable from your network to the rear of Prodigy Plus.
9. From any workstation on your network, open a DOS
window and type: "ping..." followed by Prodigy Plus' new IP
address (e.g. ping 198.000.000.001). You should receive a
reply from your network. If you do not, contact your IT
department for assistance.
