The following conversion options are available for the interactive detector line:
● Converting a ↑ stub into a ↑ loop
● Converting a loop into a stub
To convert an interactive detector line, follow the steps below:
1. Switch the ↑ detector lines off. Link [➙ 82]
2. Rewire the detector line.
– You will find more information on the topology of interactive detector lines
in document 008843. See chapter 'Applicable documents'.
3. Load the configuration from the ↑ 'Station' to the PC. Link [➙ 32]
4. Change the configuration of the interactive detector line in 'SintesoWorks' in
accordance with the new wiring.
– You will find more information on how to configure the topology for
interactive detector lines in document 009078. See chapter 'Applicable
documents'.
5. Load the modified configuration from the PC to the 'Station'. Link [➙ 30]
6. Switch the detector line on. Link [➙ 83]
7. Test the function of the 'Site'. Link [➙ 91]
When replacing non-stationary devices on an interactive Ex detector line during
operation, it takes the system 70 s/device to detect the device(s) concerned.
As a result, you must wait at least 70 s before the device is able to activate an
alarm.
1. Remove the device you want to replace from the base.
2. Wait approx. 30 seconds.
3. Insert the new device of the same type.
 The internal alarm indicator flashes for 10 seconds following successful
replacement.
Proceed as follows if the alarm indicator does not flash:
1. Ensure that you wait long enough before inserting.
2. Check whether other devices are missing on the detector line.
3. Check whether a device that is not of the same type has been inserted. If this is
the case, insert a device of the same type.
4. Restart the line.
