Updating the firmware
Check the COM port setting under 'Options' > 'Preferences' > 'Periphery update'
before performing the firmware update.
1. Select 'Update' > 'Periphery update wizard'.
2. In the 'Password check' window, enter the password '1234' and click on the
'Next' button.
3. Select the 'Standard FDnet device' element in the 'Devices:' field.
 The connection with the FDCW221 is established.
4. Set the FDCW221 to update mode manually:
– Disconnect the MC link cable from the MCL-USB adapter.
– Hold the end of the MC link cable against the ground terminal of the ↑ radio
gateway.
– Press the Reset button.
 The device is set to update mode.
– Insert the end of the MC link cable in the MCL-USB adapter again.
5. Click on 'Next'.
 The latest firmware package and the latest firmware version are suggested.
6. Follow the instructions in the dialog and perform the update.
 The FDCW221 restarts.
7. Remove the MCL-USB adapter and lock the FDCW221.
 The firmware is updated.
You must update the firmware of the ↑ radio gateway FDCW241 with a SWING
tool and the MCL-USB adapter FDUZ227. You will find information on this in
document A6V10227639. See chapter 'Applicable documents'.
