Fuel injection pump timing

Note: The method used to check the timing of the fuel injection pump is spill timing.
The timing marks on the crankshaft pulley and on the timing case are not accurate enough when the engine
is spill timed.
Clockwise / counter-clockwise direction is when seen from the front of the engine.
With the dial gauge still on the first valve, rotate the crankshaft counter-clockwise until the dial gauge pointer
moves counter-clockwise 5,08 mm (0.20 in).
