Note: The cap screws are of different lengths. Ensure they are fitted from where they were removed.
Caution: The latest engines do not have dowels to align the oil pump. On these engines it is important to
tighten the cap screws gradually and evenly to the correct torque. When the cap screws are tight, rotate the
shaft of the oil pump by hand to ensure that it is free to move easily.

Remove the crankshaft pulley, see Operation 5-1.
Remove the timing case, see Operation 6-2.
