Notes:
l The pistons and connecting rods are matched to the relevant cylinder (A1/A2). Note the position of each
connecting rod and piston for correct assembly.
l The bore of the early type gudgeon pin has changed from tapered to parallel on the latest engines. If pistons
and connecting rods are to be renewed, and they are on the same crank pin axis (ie) 1 and 4 or 2 and 3, it
is recommended that the complete set of pistons are renewed. This will prevent engine vibration due to out-
of-balance forces.
