7.1.10 REMOVING THE ANTIVIBRATION WEIGHT

Carefully read 0.5.1 (PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL
INFORMATIONS).
N
Position the vehicle on the stand.
N
Turn the ignition switch to position "1".
N
Hold the antivibration weight (1) with an adjustable
spanner with the jaws covered with adhesive tape in or-
der not to damage it.
N
Unscrew and remove the screw (2).
Screw (2) driving torque: 10 Nm (1.0 kgm).
N
Remove the antivibration weight (1).
N
Slide out the pin (3).
N
Slide off the O-ring (4).
N
Slide off the end piece (5).
End piece (5) driving torque: 35 Nm (3.5 kgm).
N
Slide out the pin (6) an recover the rubber bush (7).

7.1.11 REMOVING THE COLD-START CONTROL

Remove the grip from the left handlebar, see 7.1.12
(REMOVING THE GRIPS).

Remove the electric controls, see 7.1.14 (REMOVING
THE ELECTRIC CONTROLS ON THE LEFT HANDLE-
BAR).

Unscrew and remove the two screws (8).
N
Use a small flat-tip screwdriver to split open the cold-
start control (9).
N
Disconnect the cold-start cable.
N
Slide off, holding the cold-start control components to-
gether.
