User name
A user name is not assigned in the factory state.
You must assign a user name so that a password can be assigned later.
A user name and password is required for the web browser login in order to control the
device.
1. Navigate in the menu of the 3RW44 to the "Fieldbus interface > On" menu command (see
Activation of the fieldbus interface (Page 32))
2. Use the arrow keys to navigate to "User name".
3. Press "OK" to edit the user name.
4. You can use the arrow keys to enter a user name.
5. Click "OK" to confirm each position and to advance to the next position.
6. When you have entered the desired user name, press the "OK" key again to accept the
entered name.
Old/new password
A password is not assigned in the factory state.
You must assign a user name in order to assign a password.
A user name and password is required for the web browser login in order to control the
device.
1. Navigate in the menu of the 3RW44 to the "Fieldbus interface > On" menu command (see
Activation of the fieldbus interface (Page 32))
2. Use the arrow keys to navigate to "Old/new password".
3. Press "OK" to edit the password.
4. You can use the arrow keys to enter a password.
5. Click "OK" to confirm each position and to advance to the next position.
6. When you have entered the desired password, press the "OK" key again to accept the
entered password.
7. For the password change, the old password also has to be entered in order for the new
one to be accepted. This step can be skipped if an old password does not exist (e.g., in
the factory state or when a password is deleted).
During entry, the password (both the old and new passwords) is displayed in plain text.
This allows you to check it before saving.
When the password is entered via the "Soft Starter ES" software, only "*" is displayed.
The new password must be entered here twice for confirmation.
