Activation of the "OPC UA Server control function" function
The "OPC UA Server" function must be activated. In addition, you have write-access to
variables.
Activate this function only if you want to control the 3RW44 via the OPC UA Server. Ensure
that the connection between the server and client is protected from unauthorized access.
Use security policy "Basic128Rsa15" and message security mode "SignAndEncrypt".
Note
Restarting the communication interface
Each change to the "OPC-UA Server aktivieren" (Activate OPC UA Server) parameter
requires a restart of the communication interface.
A restart of the communication interface disconnects and then reconnects all Ethernet and
PROFINET connections.
7.2.4

Setting the IP parameters

To enable a connection to be established via OPC UA, the 3RW44 soft starter must have
valid IP parameters.
Example of the URL of the OPC UA server in the 3RW44 PROFINET:
opc.tcp://192.168.0.2:4840, where 192.168.0.2 is the IP address of 3RW44.
The IP parameters, consisting of the IP address, Subnet mask, and Router, can be
configured with the "Soft Starter ES 2007" software or via the display of 3RW44 and
transferred to the device.
You can overwrite the existing IP parameters in the device using the "Soft Starter ES 2007"
software if the "Overwrite IP parameters in device" parameter is activated.
