5.7 Logs

The Talon Ultimate keeps logs of all imaging, hash, wipe, format, and push
operations. Logs can be viewed directly on the Talon Ultimate or from a
computer's browser (if the Talon Ultimate is connected to a network).
When using Drive to File mode (DD, E01, EX01, or DMG), log files are also stored in
the Destination drive in the same folder as the image files.
The log files in the Destination drive are available in PDF, HTML, and XML formats.
In addition to viewing, the logs can be exported to an external USB location such as a USB flash
drive. Logs are exported in PDF, HTML and XML format.
When using Drive to File mode (DD, E01, EX01, or DMG), log files are also stored in the

The log files may contain a "partial hash". This hash is for Talon Ultimate's internal purposes only
and cannot be validated by any other means. The partial hash is a snapshot of the hash engine at
the end of each segment file which the Talon Ultimate can use to catch transfer errors and re-try

From this screen, log files can also be deleted one at a time or all at once.

The Talon Ultimate file browser is not able to open every file to preview.
When a file cannot be opened directly on the Talon Ultimate, the file can
be saved on a computer by connecting to the Talon Ultimate's web
interface (see
