request service. Indicates
if
the device
is
requesting
service.

is
returned during
a
serial poll.

set

after being read via
a
serial
poll (MSS
is

by -STB?).
MSG
-
Message. Indicates whether there
is
a
message in the message
queue.
PON
power
on.
Always 0 in the
HP
54501A.
URQ
-
user request. Indicates whether
a
front panel key
has
been
pressed.
CME
-
command error.
Indicates
whether
the parser detected an
error.
EXE
execution error. Indicates whether
a
parameter was out
of
range, or
inconsistent
with current
settings.
DDE
device
specific
error.
Indicates
whether the
device
was
unable to
complete an operation for device dependent reasons.
QYE
-
query error. Indicates whether the protocol for queries
has been
violated.
RQC
request control. Indicates whether the device
is
requesting control.
The
HP
54501A will never
request
control.
OPC
-
operation
complete. Indicates
whether the
device has
completed
all
pending operations.
LCL
-
local. Indicates whether
a
remote to
local transition
has
occurred.
