The
:WAVEFORM:POINTS
query returns the points value in the
currently selected waveform preamble.
The
points value
is
the number
of
time buckets
contained in the waveform selected with the
WAVEFORM:SOURCE
command.
In
most
cases
the number of time buckets actually acquired will be the
number
of
points
set
in the
ACQUIRE
subsystem.
There are
some sweep
speeds
where
the actual number
of
points will be
less
than requested.
These are shown below.
With
the sweep speed
set
to
2
ns
per
division the
number of points
actually acquired will be
32,64,128,
or 200.
With
the sweep speed
set
to 5
ns
per division the number
of
points
actually acquired will be
32,64,128,256,
or 500.
With
the sweep speed
set
to
10 ns
per
division
the
number of points
actually acquired
will
be
32,64,128,256,500,512,
or
1000.
