Measure Subsystem
14
Introduction
The
commands in the
MEASURE
subsystem are used to make
parametric measurements on displayed waveforms and to report the
settings
of
the voltage and time markers. Some commands in
this
subsystem can be used to set the voltage and time
markers to specified
voltages, times, or events.
Measurement
Setup
To
make
a
measurement, the portion of
the
waveform required for that
measurement must be displayed on the
oscilloscope.
That
is:
For
a
period or frequency measurement,
at least one
complete
cycle
must be displayed.
For
a
pulse width measurement, the entire pulse must be displayed.
For
a
risetime measurement, the leading (positive-going) edge of
the
waveform
must be displayed;
For
a
falltime measurement, the trailing (negative-going) edge of the
waveform
must be displayed.
Note
When
WINDOW
is
ON,
measurements are
ONLY
applied to
the
windowed portion of
the
waveform.
User-Defined
When User-Defined Measurements are made,
the defined parameters

command or
query.
In User-Defined
the
mid threshold
is
the mid
point between
the
upper
and lower threshold when the
lower threshold
value
is less
than the upper
threshold
value.
