command/query
The :SYSTEM:DSP
command writes
a
quoted string, excluding
quotes,
to
the advisory line (line
1)
of
the
CRT.
The DSP
query returns the
last
string written
to
the advisory
line. This
may be
a
string written with
a
DSP
command or an internally generated
advisory.
The
string
is
actually read from the message queue. The
message
queue
is
cleared when
it is
read.
Therefore
the
displayed
message can
only
be read
once over the
bus.
