1.3 Applying Grease

The figure below shows the locations where grease should be applied.
Smear the grease lightly and evenly with a flat brush.
1) Sliding side of the cardboard tube holder unit and rail

Note
When troubleshooting the take-up unit that has been
removed from the printer, use this cable to supply power
directly to the take-up unit to check its operations. Use
this extension power cable to connect the printer's power
outlet and the take-up unit's power cable.
Apply to specified locations (see 1.3 Applying Grease on
page 5-3).
