4.1.6 Replacing the ink bottle
The printer supplies ink from the six separate ink bottles. The user can replace the
ink bottles even when the printer is printing.
a) When to replace the ink bottle
When the printer detects no ink in the ink bottle, the "Out of ink X" message
appears on the message display (X = the ink color).
If "Out of ink" is displayed, the printer will suspend the current job until the empty
bottle is replaced with a new one. It will continue with the current job, however, if
the size of the remaining print data is no bigger than B0.
If the empty bottle is not replaced within 5 minutes when detecting no ink the
current job is automatically canselled.
b) How to replace the ink bottle
1) Open the lower-right cover.

2) Raise the locking lever of the ink bottle which you want to replace.
3) Hold the finger hook and pull out the ink bottle a little.
4) Hold the grip and pull to remove the ink bottle.
