The microswitch-based top cover sensor detects the open/closed state of the top
cover. When the top cover is closed, the switch is depressed and the cover's closed
status is confirmed.
Right upper cover sensor
The microswitch-based right upper cover sensor detects the open/closed state of the
right upper cover. When the right upper cover is closed, the switch is depressed and
the cover's closed status is confirmed.
Front cover sensor
The microswitch-based front cover sensor detects the open/closed state of the front
cover. When the front cover sensor is closed, the switch is depressed and the cover's
closed status is confirmed.
Cassette A (upper) cover sensor
The microswitch-based cassette A cover sensor detects the open/closed state of the
cassette A cover. When the cassette A cover is closed, the switch is depressed and
the cover's closed status is confirmed. When both the cassette A cover sensor and
the cassette A sensors have detected the closed state, the printer recognizes the
cassette A is closed and positioned correctly.
Cassette B (lower) cover sensor
The microswitch-based cassette B cover sensor detects the open/closed state of the
cassette B cover. When the cassette B cover is closed, the switch is depressed and
the cover's closed status is confirmed. When both of the cassette B cover sensor and
the cassette B sensor have detected the closed state, the printer recognizes the
cassette B is closed and positioned correctly.
Cassette A sensor
The photo interrupter-based cassette A sensor detects the open/closed state of
cassette A. When the cassette is closed, the light emitted from the sensor is
transmitted by the cassette A sensor arm, and the cassette A closed state is detected
by the cassette A sensor.
When both the cassette A cover sensor and the cassette A sensor have detected the
closed state, the printer recognizes that cassette A is closed and positioned correctly.
Cassette B sensor
The photo interrupter-based cassette B sensor detects the open/closed state of cassette B.
When the cassette is closed, the light emitted from the sensor is transmitted by the
cassette B sensor arm, and the cassette B closed state is detected by the cassette B
sensor. When both the cassette B cover sensor and the cassette B sensor have detected
the closed state, the printer recognizes that cassette B is closed and positioned correctly.
Left lower cover sensor
The microswitch-based left lower cover sensor detects the open/closed state of the
left lower cover. When the left lower cover is closed, the switch is depressed and the
cover's closed status is confirmed.
NOTE
The +24V power required to drive the carriage motor/feed motor is
provided from the power supply, only if the status of the top cover, the
right upper cover, the front cover, the cassette A and B, and the left lower
cover are identical to "close."
