Ventilation ports
Openings for
keeping the internal
parts cool.
SCSI interface connector
Connects the printer to a
computer or alternatively to an
optional hardware RIP using an
SCSI interface cable.
1.1.3 Carriage unit
BJ print head locking cover
Open this cover when
replacing the BJ print heads.

Carriage
The BJ print heads are
installed here to perform
printing.

Ground wire connector
Connect the ground wire.
Power connector
Connects the power
cord to an electrical
outlet.
BJ print head locking lever
Locks the BJ print heads in
position.
Media thickness lever
When printing high-density graphics,
the paper may become rippled and
rub against the print heads. This lever
allows the user to avoid the problem
by widening the distance between the
heads and the media surface.
