- Re-assemble
The ring, through which the power is conveyed from the motor to the cardboard tube,
should be carefully positioned when re-assembling. If this ring is misaligned, the
cardboard tube holder cannot be mounted. Mount and position the ring in the
following manner before installing the cardboard tube holder.
Place the ring in the paper guide flange. Be sure not to insert the ring to the very
bottom of the paper guide flange. Instead, find the correct location so that the ring sits
just above the base of the paper guide flange.
While pulling the ring forward, rotate it anticlockwise as far as it will go. Make sure
that the top of the ring protrudes slightly from the upper face of the paper guide
flange. If the ring sinks into the paper guide flange, the ring's position is incorrect. In
that case, repeat the procedure. (see Figure 5-2).
When the ring is installed correctly, mount the springs and the cardboard tube holder
to the paper guide flange.
Hold the cardboard tube holder firmly when installing the springs and the cardboard
tube holder. Otherwise it may jump out of the unit (see Figure 5-1).

2) Photo interrupter
Because the mounting brackets of the photo interrupter are very fragile, they can be
easily damaged when too much force is applied. Handle them carefully when
dismantling or re-installing.
