Serial Data
Usage:
Effective in a highly controlled environment where the host knows pre-
cisely when the object is in the scan zone. It is also useful in determining
if a noread has occurred.
Definition:
In Serial Data, the scanner accepts an ASCII character from the host or
controlling device as a trigger to start a read cycle. A Serial Data trigger
behaves the same as an External Edge trigger.
Serial commands are entered inside corner brackets, such as <t>.

Serial Data or Edge
Usage:
Serial Data or Edge is seldom used but can be useful in an application
that primarily uses an external sensing device but occasionally needs to
be manually triggered.
An auxiliary terminal can be connected to the aux port so the user can
send the serial trigger character through the scanner to the host.
Definition:
In this mode the scanner accepts either a serial ASCII character or an
external trigger pulse to start the read cycle.
