Code 39
Usage:
Code 39 is considered the standard for non-retail symbology.
Definition:
An alphanumeric symbol with unique start/stop patterns, composed of 9
black and white elements per character, of which 3 are wide.
Code 39 Status
Serial Cmd:
<Kpstatus,check digit status,check digit output status,large intercharac-
ter gap,fixed symbol length status,fixed symbol length,full ASCII set>
Default:
Enabled
Note: This is the only symbol type enabled by default.
Options:
0 = Disabled
Check Digit Status (Code 39)
Serial Cmd:
<Kpstatus,check digit
gap,fixed symbol length status,fixed symbol length,full ASCII set>
Default:
Disabled
Options:
0 = Disabled
Check Digit Output Status (Code 39)
Usage:
Check digit Output, added to the symbol, provides additional security.
Definition:
When enabled, the check digit character is read and compared along with
the symbol data. When disabled, symbol data is sent without the check
digit.
Note: With Check Digit Output and an External or Serial trigger
option enabled, an invalid check digit calculation will cause a noread mes-
sage to be transmitted at the end of the read cycle.
