NVR Configuration Guide (Advanced) for NRS Expanded Series
No monitor connected with the NVR locally and when you manage the IP
camera to connect with the device using web browser remotely, the status
displays as Connected. Then connect the device to the monitor via VGA or
HDMI interface and reboot the device, there is black screen with the mouse
cursor.
Connect the NVR with the monitor before startup via VGA or HDMI interface,
and manage the IP camera to connect with the device locally or remotely, the
status of IP camera displays as Connect. Then connect the device with the
CVBS, and there is black screen either.
Possible Reasons:
After connecting the IP camera to the NVR, the image is output USING the main
spot interface by default.
Corrective Actions:
1. Enable the output channel.
2. Select Menu -> Configuration -> Live View -> View. Select the video output
interface in the dropdown list and configure the window you want to view.
The view settings can only be configured by local operation of the
NVR.
NOTE
Different camera orders and window-division modes can be set for
different output interfaces separately. Digits such as "D1"and "D2"
indicates the channel number and "X" indicates the selected window
has no image output.
3. Verify if the fault is solved using the steps above.
If solved, finish the process.
If not, contact engineer from our company for additional troubleshooting.
Live view freezes when video output locally.
Possible Reasons:
Poor network between the NVR and IP camera and packet loss exists during
transmission.
The frame rate is below the real-time frame rate.
Corrective Actions:
1. Verify the network between the NVR and IP camera is connected.
a.
When image is frozen, connect the RS-232 ports on the PC and the rear panel of
NVR with the RS-232 cable.
b.
Open the Super Terminal, and execute the ping command 192.168.0.0 –l 1472 –f
(the IP address may change according to the real condition). Check if packet loss
exists.
NOTE
Press Ctrl and C simultaneously to exit the ping command.
